Fourteen windsurfers set sail on a 35.7-meter long windsurf board
A group of Dutch students has broken the Guinness World Record for the longest windsurf board ever made and sailed, and for the most people on a windsurf board.
The old record dated back to the 1980s, when Toen Joop Nederpelt, Holland's first windsurfer, got a sponsorship from Coca-Cola and produced an 18-meter plank for nine sailors.
More than three decades later, 14 members of the Plankenkoorts Student Windsurf Association decided to improve the previous record set by their colleagues at the Delft University of Technology.
